Many of you may have seen the new viral video sensation that is rocking the Internet this week.
A
new production in the Sarah Silverman style of "Shes Fu**ing Matt
Damon" has appeared starring Hilary Clinton called "She’s Fu**ing
Obama" and it is taking the world by storm.
If you haven’t seen it before then here it is in all it’s glory and hilarity.
She’s Fu**ing Obama
It
wasn’t until after I had seen the video a couple of times I began to
investigate it’s orgins and found that it is made by an Aussie.
and found some pretty good funny videos and interesting bits and pieces.
Changes - This is hilarious
The guys name is Hugh Matkin. He is 23 and
Works at the ABC in Sydney which is our government run tv and radio
broadcasting service.
This guy is great, his sense of humor like
most Aussies is wicked and his talent is incredible. So drop over and
check his site out. Its one of the Golden treasures not often found.
Today I am going to do something a little different
but then that is me. Mrs Different.
When
I was a little kid I loved watching two shows on Saturdays. I had to
watch these shows and my family soon realized that to allow me to watch
them was the best for their peace, tranquility and health. I really
looked forward to Saturdays because of these two shows. Oh plus having
no school and a full day to explore my world helped.
On Saturday mornings, in amongst my weekly cartoon dose and fill-up was a show I loved, called "The Secret of ISIS".
And on Saturday nights, well there was WONDER WOMAN.
Wonder
Woman rocked. Especially the way she would casually toss her shiny
Brunette mane of hair at the same time as her little thin golden rope
and with a secret little coy smile on her face she would trap and
entwine her dastardly targets.
To
a kids eyes, she ruled. She showed and taught me so much. I learned
that it was ok to be strong, virtuous and courageous and it was ok at
the same time to be a lady. That was what was best about her to me. Her
femininity. Xena Warrior Princess came well after Wonder Woman as an
Amazonian Warrior female but somehow I just cannot imagine Xena showing
up for her latest beautician's appointment after just slaying the
giants. Or admiring the latest portraiture at the local gallery
followed by dinner at a French restaurant and washed down with soft
music and drinks after a busy day sword fighting with Mars. I liked
Xena well enough, I had to as I had an Ex husband that Woodied over her
as well as a child who idolized her but to me, she just wasn't Wonder
Woman.
Wonder
Woman was refined and cultured. She was dignified and humble. Wonder
Woman was always on the side of truth, justice, the weak and powerless
and all things good in the world. She was strong and intuitive. She was
gracious and charming. Everything that embodies and encompasses WOMAN
was within WONDER WOMAN. She was woman and is woman. All women have a
little of Wonder Woman deep down inside them. She was everything that I
admired as a small child and everything that I wanted to be when I grew
up.
Oh
except the red blue and gold suit disaster.. sorry hun, not my colors..
something flowing and purple, with some blues and pinks through it
mayhaps. And really, a tiny skirt would have helped.. yes you have
lovely child bearing hips but there is somethings that should be
delicately hidden. SEE ISIS – Her little pleated skirt number rocked.
.and those boots.. what happened to a simple nice pair of Black CFM boots.
Kids
need Heroes and Superheroes to idolize and worship who are always
humbly fighting the bad and single handedly saving the world in their
mild mannered way so that as those kids grow up they will try to be
that heroic good person, quietly off saving the world from evil and
harm.
So
Wonder Woman rocked my world as a kid. Now as an adult the one thing I
particularly enjoy about this time of my life is observing Hollywood making re runs of shows and movies I watched and loved as a child.
Starsky and Hutch
Superman
Batman
The Odd Couple
Spiderman
Charlies Angels
Dukes of Hazzard
And the list goes on and on. It seems to be the latest trend or Hollywood has run out of good material
If they want new fascinating material all they have to do is message me
So
anyhows, it was with great anticipation I read of George Millers latest
foray into dusted off remakes with the new big screen version to go
into production of none other than my favorite, WONDER WOMAN.
I began keeping an eye on the daily columns as the news buzz excitedly swept Hollywood.
I watched the gossip columns throw up lists of actresses who were
interested in the part, from Lindsay Lohan, Catherine Zeta Jones,
Jessia Biel, Cameron Diaz to Angelina Jolie and I cringed each time.
When Chloe Kardashion's name was thrown into the ring I cried. I could
see the new version of WONDER WOMAN going the same way as many of the
remakes, out backwards. I could see it being sold out for the dollar
and the bankable face that everyone was getting sick of seeing, like
Lindsay Lohan for a classic example. So on it went. More and more
actresses were putting their hands up for the plum role. Who wouldn't
want to play such a strong independent female character that carries
the whole movie?
Then
I was perusing the Australian news feeds yesterday and an article
caught my eye. It was about one of my favorite Australian Supermodels.
Another one of my interests in life is following the careers of Aussies who have made it big in their chosen fields. Like
Olivia Newton John
Kylie Minogue
INXS
Hugh Jackman
Nicole Kidman
Elle MacPherson
And Megan Gale
Ok
Who Is Megan Gale
A few months into the future, everyone will start asking that question just
"Who Is Megan Gale"
Why you ask?
Because
George Miller has just announced that the beautiful Australian Super
Model will play the part of WONDER WOMAN in his new mega big screen
production.
So in tribute to Australia,
the country I love and Aussies who have made good in this world. I
would like to introduce you to our own beautiful Megan Gale. I only
hope that the rest of the world will take her into their hearts as us
Aussies and the Italians have done.
Hopefully
this movie will be a success and hail the birth of a new Hollywood
Screen Goddess, because we are sadly lacking in positive female roles
model in Hollywood today. And if anyone has the potential to be a screen goddess, this lady is it. Provided she can act, that is.
Megan Gale
Megan Gale was born in 1975 or 76 (diff at diff sources) in perth Western Australia.
Her mum is Maori Polynesian and her dad Australian. She is the youngest
of three children and is now the ambassador and spokeswoman for the
kids helpline. A valuable free service for troubled kids here in
Australia.
When
she was 16 she was discovered while she was attending a deportment
course but she didn't really start working as a model until she was 18.
Her success really came when she turned 24 and did a modeling shoot for
an Italian Company while she was at uni. All of a sudden the Italians
went crazy over her. She was unique in the world of modeling. Her mixed
heritage brings out the best features of each race. She also gives off
an air of quiet dignity, which is a trait inherited from her Polynesian
side.
Second only to Sophie Loren, as far as adoration in Italy, she moved to Europe and lived on the other side of the Swiss border and began working in Italy over the next few years. Becoming Italy's number one model, she returned to Australia after 8 years to take up a role as the face of David Jones, an upmarket clothing chain here in Australia.
She
has starred in three movies already, one as an Australian secreatary
and two Italian films, one of which she spoke completely in Italian.
Sorry
guys, she has a boyfriend. For a few years now she has dated
Australian, Andy Lee, who is one half of a popular comedy radio duo
over here. He does talk a bit out of school, often broadcasting private
details about their relationship on air.
From Wikipedia
At
twenty-four, while studying at university, she won a modeling
competition and appeared in a series of advertisements for the Italian
telecommunications commercials, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy);
she appeared in the company's advertising from 1999 until nowadays. She
was also retained by the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as
'their face of Australia in Italy'.
Gale has modeled for Italian fashion houses such as Genny and favors many Australian designers, such as Akira Isogawa, Sass & Bide, and Alex Perry.
Recently she was the fashion commentator for the Australian television
awards, the Logies. Currently she is the face of the upmarket
Australian department store David Jones.
Gale's appearances on the catwalk in the famous annual fashion parades
are extremely popular and she has helped to raise David Jones's profile
to the younger market and trendy fashion designers.
In
January 2008, Gale announced her retirement from catwalk modelling
after 15 years and strutted down the catwalk for the last time just
weeks later at a David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. [2]
Acting
She has also tried her hand at acting. Roselyn trained Gale for the movie, Vacanze di Natale and received top billing. She was Viviana in Stregata Dalla Luna and spoke entirely in Italian. She also won a part in the movie Stealth
which was shot in Sydney and was released in theatres in 2005 playing a
role as Dr. Orbit's secretary, which is her American film debut. On January 20th she announced that she had been offered the part of Wonder Woman in the upcoming George Miller movie version of Justice League of America
